Privacy Policy

Takeoff ("Takeoff," "we," "us") is a personal finance planning app operated as a sole proprietorship. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it during Private Beta.

Information we collect

• Account info - email address, phone number if you choose phone sign-in, and authentication data needed to sign you in.
• Financial inputs you provide - income, expenses, debts, goals, and related planning numbers you enter into Takeoff.
• Usage data - basic product analytics (pages viewed, feature use) to improve the app.

Text messages (SMS)

If you request a one-time passcode by phone, we use your mobile number only to send that verification code through our SMS provider (Twilio). We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Message frequency is one message per sign-in or verification attempt. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of Takeoff SMS and HELP for help. After opt-out we will not text you except as required to confirm the opt-out.

How we use information

We use your information to operate Takeoff, keep your forecast honest, communicate about your account, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We use trusted service providers (for example authentication, hosting, and SMS delivery) only as needed to run Takeoff. They process data on our behalf under contractual obligations. We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing or promotional use.

Data retention & security

We retain account and planning data while your account is active. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

Your choices

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by emailing brian@bookwrm.io.
